ChloraPrep provides rapid-acting, persistent, and broad-spectrum antiseptic activity for a range of minor and major medical procedures.
Proven formulation
The 2% Chlorhexidine Gluconate/70% Isopropyl Alcohol formulation acts fast on a broad spectrum of bacteria, including Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and keeps fighting bacteria for at least 48 hours.1,2
Proven Device
The applicators’ soft sponge promotes a gentle-friction scrub that allows the solution to penetrate the first five cell layers of the epidermis, helping to reduce skin-dwelling microorganisms that can cause bloodstream infections (BSIs) and surgical site infections (SSIs). The applicator design eliminates direct hand-to-patient contact, helping prevent cross contamination.
System
Together, the formulation and applicator provide a proven system that supports infection control guidelines to help reduce the incidence of BSIs and SSIs.
ChloraPrep is superior compared to traditional iodophors
Clinical Evidence
Numerous evidence-based guidelines and more than 30 clinical studies support the use of 2% CHG and CHG-based formulations for patient preoperative skin preparation.
Clinical study proves ChloraPrep reduces bacteria related to foot and ankle surgery
